Bright Light City Gonna Set My Soul

Gonna set my soul on fire.

OK - so it really is the best day ever as after two weeks of trying to get U2 tickets for ANY show throughout the country (note country, I didn't try for Vancouver), I FINALLY got tickets. I tried for NYC, East Rutherford, Boston (four shows!), Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, Anaheim, San Jose, and I got nothing. Today, 48 Hours after after the pre-sale for fan club members starts for the show in Glendale, AZ, I try for two General Admission tickets. I click search, and two show up. Don't ask me HOW this happened, I can't explain it. Just luck I guess. Maybe that or Bono and the boys learned I was very upset with them the past two weeks. That is doubtful though. Who cares though, I'm going to see U2!

The show is April 14th, Sara and I are going to head down earlier in the week to Vegas and then drive the five hours to Pheonix. Can I get a wutwut? As Sara said - Vegas and U2 in one week, I can barely sit still.

In addition, www.u2.com published a letter from Larry to the fans who were upset about the pre-sale ticket debacle. In it he states that he's following up to see how to fix things, and who knows if it can be fixed, but at least they are acknowledging the problem. Last week was just a long, drawn out week of finger pointing between Ticketmaster, ClearChannel and Principle Management. And my opinion is that this reeks of Ticketmaster corruption. So after I start my own newspaper here in Buffalo (called "News") I'll work on starting my own ticketing company. And when the Eagles have another farewell tour, you'll all be thanking me!!!!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!! (And VIVA LAS VEGAS too!)
